This eco-friendly product manufacturing has given the village in south India a platform where the villagers could stay back and earn a fair wage instead of migrating to bigger towns and cities.
It’s the perfect size and I love the quality! We have used it in a microwave and dishwasher multiple times and its as good as news!
Thank you Harsha for this feedback.
I love these mugs so much. The shape has an incredible effect that the beverage doesn't slosh when you walk with a full mug! The edge is a nice comfortable shape. The top part has a lovely velvety smooth texture and the bottom part has a great natural, rustic feel. I prefer mugs that aren't too big as I find them more comfortable to hold because they're not too heavy, and my hot beverage doesn't have as much time to get cold as it does in a big mug. I've been looking for a long time for just the right mugs for me and these are even better than I was hoping I would find. I am so pleased to have something that is good for the people who made it. I have one of each design because that's even more fun.
Thank you Kim for taking the time to write this review and being such a great customer. It made our day :)
TerraKlay is bringing a wide range of functional designs in stoneware pottery created by craftsmen and craftswomen from south India's village community.
These products were born from the idea to create a platform where the villagers could live and work in their village and learn a new skill instead needing to migrate to bigger cities. This led to the creation of a range of "eco-friendly products" wheel-thrown by village craftsmen. All stoneware cups are fair trade and show the beauty of their handmade artistry.
