Welcoming all GreenHeart Friends to the new site!
The wheat style of this towel will add a touch of natural beauty to your home! Tightly loomed, absorbent kitchen towel made in an ethical fashion. Handmade in Guatemala, with natural cotton spun fibers.
Who made this product? The foot beat of the artisan work of four brothers created El Tun, a fair trade company who creates these wonderful cotton woven towels. They carry on weaving techniques of their Guatemalan ancestry to create everyday ethical pieces for the home.
Why is it ethical? Sobremesa by Greenheart works directly with the artisans to ensure fair trade principles are upheld. These artisans forgo robot machinery for good old-fashioned foot-powered looms that won't leave a carbon footprint on the environment.
TerraKlay is bringing a wide range of functional designs in stoneware pottery created by craftsmen and craftswomen from south India's village community.
These products were born from the idea to create a platform where the villagers could live and work in their village and learn a new skill instead needing to migrate to bigger cities. This led to the creation of a range of "eco-friendly products" wheel-thrown by village craftsmen. All stoneware cups are fair trade and show the beauty of their handmade artistry.
